Glacial Acetic Acid Bulk Supplier
Glacial Acetic Acid in Bulk
Glacial acetic acid is acetic acid with essentially no water, and it gets its name from the fact that it freezes into ice-like crystals just below room temperature. It is a feedstock for vinyl acetate and acetate esters, an acidifier in textile dyeing, and a food additive at dilute strength. BulkFineChem supplies industrial, food and pharmacopoeial grades to textile mills, chemical manufacturers and food processors across India.

Applications
State the grade you need when enquiring, since food and pharmaceutical applications carry tighter limits than textile use.
- pH control and after-treatment in textile dyeing
- Feedstock for vinyl acetate monomer and acetate esters
- Acidulant and preservative in food processing at dilute strength
- Intermediate in pharmaceutical and API manufacture
- Rubber coagulation and leather processing
Safety, Handling and Compliance
Glacial acetic acid is combustible and far more corrosive than its vinegar smell suggests. It also solidifies below about 16 degrees C, which can split drums.
- Flash point around 39 degrees C; keep away from ignition sources
- Store above 17 degrees C to prevent freezing and container damage
- Use goggles, face shield and resistant gloves; vapour burns the airways
- Keep away from strong oxidisers, alkalis and amines
- SDS issued on request
Ordering
Pricing is quoted against grade, packing and delivery location. Send an enquiry with your application and volume.
- Minimum order quantity 200 kg
- GST tax invoice on every order
- Batch-wise Certificate of Analysis with each dispatch

FAQs
Questions buyers commonly ask about glacial acetic acid.
- Why has it solidified? It freezes below about 16 degrees C; warm the drum gently and it recovers fully.
- Is food grade available? Yes, against food specification on request.
- Why is permanganate time specified? It indicates oxidisable impurities, which matter in food and pharma use.
- Can I get a sample? Yes, trial quantities can be arranged.
- What documents are provided? GST invoice, batch CoA, SDS and TREM card.
