Sodium sulphate is the quiet workhorse of two very different industries. In detergents it is the filler that keeps powder free-flowing and correctly dosed; in textile dyeing it is the electrolyte that drives reactive dye onto cotton fibre. Specification

Assay, whiteness and water insolubles are stated on the batch Certificate of Analysis. Detergent grade requires higher whiteness than textile grade.
