Technical grade urea is the industrial counterpart of agricultural urea, made to tighter specifications on biuret and moisture because the applications are less forgiving. It is the nitrogen source behind urea-formaldehyde resins, diesel exhaust fluid and selective catalytic reduction systems. Biuret content is the figure that separates technical grade from ordinary fertiliser urea, and it is stated on every batch Certificate of Analysis.

Handling and Storage

Urea is hygroscopic and cakes badly if it takes up moisture, so packaging integrity matters more than with most bulk solids.

• Dust protection recommended when handling
