Silica Gel in Bulk

Silica gel holds roughly a third of its own weight in water without changing shape or appearance, which is why it protects everything from electronics shipments to transformer breathers. It is regenerable, so the same charge can be dried out and reused many times over. Handling and Storage

Silica gel adsorbs moisture from the moment its packaging is opened, so partially used drums lose capacity quickly.

• Keep containers sealed; reseal immediately after decanting
• Regenerate by heating at 120 to 150 degrees C
• Use dust protection when handling; avoid inhaling fines
• Indicating blue grades contain cobalt chloride; orange grades are the cobalt-free alternative
• SDS issued on request
