Handling and Storage

Carbon dust is a nuisance and fine powder can form an explosive cloud. Spent carbon in a confined vessel can also deplete oxygen.

• Use dust protection when handling powdered grades
• Treat vessels containing wet carbon as confined spaces
• Keep away from strong oxidisers
