Hydrated Lime in Bulk

Hydrated lime is the cheapest way to raise pH at scale. Where caustic soda would be used by the drum, lime is used by the tonne at a fraction of the cost, and it adds calcium hardness that many treatment processes want anyway. The trade-off is that it is a slurry rather than a solution, so it needs agitation and leaves a sludge. Handling and Storage

Lime is strongly alkaline and causes serious burns to eyes and damp skin. It also reacts with carbon dioxide in air and loses strength if left open.

• Flush eye contact immediately and at length with water
