Copper Sulphate Bulk Supplier
Copper Sulphate in Bulk
Copper sulphate pentahydrate, still called blue vitriol in the trade, is the cheapest soluble copper salt and the reason copper turns up in so many unrelated industries. It plates copper, kills algae, supplies a micronutrient to crops and animals, and reacts as a copper source in synthesis. BulkFineChem supplies technical grade crystals and powder to electroplaters, fertiliser blenders, water treatment operators and distributors across India.
Specification
Assay and free acid content are stated on the batch Certificate of Analysis. Crystal size affects dissolution rate but not chemistry.
- CAS No. 7758-99-8 (pentahydrate)
- HSN Code 28332500
- Assay 98 percent minimum as CuSO4.5H2O, about 24 to 25 percent copper
- Appearance: bright blue crystals, also available as powder
- Packing: 25 kg and 50 kg HDPE bags
Applications
Copper is toxic to aquatic life at low concentration, so effluent containing it must be treated before discharge.
- Copper electroplating and PCB manufacture
- Algae control in reservoirs, ponds and cooling towers
- Copper micronutrient in fertiliser and animal feed blends
- Bordeaux mixture and agricultural fungicide preparation
- Mordant in textile dyeing and copper source in synthesis
Handling and Storage
The crystals are harmful if swallowed and irritating to skin and eyes, and solutions stain badly.
- Store sealed in a dry area; crystals effloresce and lose water in dry air
- Use gloves, goggles and dust protection when handling
- Keep away from strong alkalis and reducing agents
- Do not discharge copper-bearing effluent untreated
- SDS issued on request
Ordering
Pricing is quoted against assay, crystal size and delivery location. Send an enquiry with your application and tonnage.

- GST tax invoice on every order
- Batch-wise Certificate of Analysis with each dispatch
- TDS and SDS available on request
- Pan-India delivery with e-way bill for large consignments
FAQs
Questions buyers commonly ask about copper sulphate.
- Why has my material turned pale? Efflorescence in dry air; it loses water of crystallisation but remains usable.
- Crystals or powder? Powder dissolves faster; crystals handle with less dust.
- Is a feed grade available? Confirm your specification when enquiring, as feed use has tighter heavy metal limits.
- Can I get a sample? Yes, trial quantities can be arranged.
- What documents are provided? GST invoice, batch CoA, and TDS or SDS on request.
